The overall goal of the Prevention Network “Kein Täter werden” is the prevention of sexual offending against children and early adolescents. This is to be achieved by a comprehensive establishment of qualified outpatient preventative therapy options for people from the dark field who feel themselves drawn sexually to children and/or early adolescents. The Prevention Network would additionally like to create awareness among consumers of child sexual abuse images (so-called child pornography), and their loved ones, about the problematic nature of their activities, as well as to increase the willingness to seek therapeutic help.
The course and results of the therapy are systematically recorded and scientifically assessed. The Prevention Network wants to show that people with a sexual preference towards the prepubertal and/or the early pubertal body scheme of minors can be helped to not commit offenses through competent assessment and specialized therapy. The Prevention Network’s additional goal is to improve public awareness about all aspects of the topic.
